Christmas Workshop

I know that it seems we start preparing every year so early for the season. It might be excuse but this is the most exciting time for us crafters in the year. I guess I dare to say that in any other crafters name. Preparing gets really intense especially in the last days before Christmas it might be a bit hectic still I just love that atmosphere, anticipation, even if it is a race against the clock for weeks. Well, this is what is happening to me at the moment. I would like to make so many things for the shop and take care of all the  requests, and to have my Christmas shop always filled so you can choose what you like most. I try to get all my strength to fulfill everything but I am also a human and get tired . I  hate to admit but if I keep pushing when I am knackered I make mistakes and I hate making mistakes and mostly end up starting over again until I don't get it right, perfect. As all I make is from the heart and I love to imagine who will receive it and want to make it perfect for them. This is what makes me happy.
I am so extremely thankful  towards all of you who purchased some things from my little shop supporting me and allowing me to do what I love most, making things for you. I will be very busy in the next weeks certainly, but try to answer every email I get for orders.

I'd like to introduce you my Christmas workshop which is in full speed at the moment producing angels, Santas, Christmas mice, and many more. Hope they will find a new home. Come and have a look around!!!!!!

New Pouches

A quick post in order to show some of my latest crafts that I have just published on my Facebook site. This is a small accessory I made for Zsófi. She won the 30$ voucher back some weeks ago.The other little pouch is for my mama together with the eye patch so she can sleep much better.
I have made a good collection of bags and accessories as well over the weekend. Mostly Ireland and natural themed with pastel colors. I once again worked with lilacs, greens and browns. Which are my favorite colors for this coming spring. I have also taken up crochet, which I enjoy a lot mostly doing it on the way home. I crochet flowers mostly to decorate my creations.

I have taken the pattern from the new Tilda book which I have posted about previously. The bag is fairly easy to make still some practice and good skills are needed for precise work.I was really happy that the small bag turned out so delicate. I have used my favorite Tilda cotton/linen fabric with a lovely silhouette pattern. To impress I have added a vintage ribbon and a hand crocheted flower.

To get the details, availability or to buy similar things, please visit my online shop on etsy or email me.

If by any chance you won't find some or all of these things anymore that means they have been sold out, but don't worry, because week by week, based on materials availability and mainly time as I have a day-job as well, I will continue to add brand new goods to the shop which might be similar to the ones above.

New Year Resolutions

I don’t believe in new year resolutions. I admit it I tried and failed several times miserably ( I guess I am not alone with that)pushing myself to do something new I thought will make me better. I just had to come to terms that they weren’t for me as I hate to be restricted .I know I had been quite sporadic in the last months, due to the amount of time I had to put into my day job. December is always so busy work wise. Still I can feel that this year some unsaid resolution is on the way for me. A real one. One I actually can keep and one that is a lot of fun . It is not something I have decided but something that just comes to me day to day without deciding or wanting it. It feels good and calm more structured. What do I mean?
I try to take it easy and let things go more easy and be much less rigid on things if they do not work out perfectly. I am much less stressed in years and it feels perfectly fine. I hope I don’t ruin it by tagging it as a resolution but anyway I have said it out aloud.
The only thing it isn’t working on is my crafts. I can start something over and over again a million times if I think it is not good enough if it is not up to my standards. I always keep in mind that I want to do something that someone else would love to use for years sometime putting too much pressure on myself. Still I don’t think it is a bad thing to do. I actually find this inspiring and something that makes me improve my trade from product to product.
The other discovery that ended in a resolution is a bit more adventurous. In the end of November I come across a lot of lovely things for my sewing. By accident I was passed on some beautiful lace, handmade lace-like crochet, vintage buttons (some form the 20’s mother of pearl) and fabric. All vintage. Mostly from my gran and her friends . What I like the most about them is every small bit of fabric came with a story to it. I have listened to all, from simple stories about friends and family occasions to war memories.
The more I heard the better it all got. I got the bug. Even before I loved foraging in the antique shops for fabrics, buttons and any sewing accessories but from now on I want to make sure each product I make will have a bit of the past.
It just adds so much even to the simplest thing and the textures…oh… heavy but in a nice way. Back then they knew how to add weight with lace and embroidery. I love to touch things and feel the fabrics. It means a lot to me to come up with a product that has more to give not only pleasing for the eye but for the soul too.
From now on my shop will have products with a little bit of extra special additions. I will try to include some stories here too. I don’t want to turn into some history expert just share some of my discoveries as an amateur who has a great interest in happenings of the past. Love stories of wives , lovers and outsiders and tales friendships and great escapes of course together with the finds. I kind of feel that I owe this much to these people for their kindness. I have already incorporated some of the buttons in the bag that came out in my shop some days ago.I think they work quite well with the contemporary design. Have a peep in the shop by clicking here.

Bunnies on the Cake

During these gorgeous sunny days over in Hungary it is that time of the year again. Weddings nonstop are on almost every single day.( Not like the old times when only Saturday was the acceptable day for such things). I also stocked up my sweet little shop with bits and pieces for weddings. In the evenings sweet jazz music and broadcasts of Marty in the Morning fills the air in our small apartment and I sew, sew, and sew. These little bunnies (pattern is from Tilda's Easter book) are my newest creations with colorful cake buntings. I am very happy to have been able to share it with you through the blog. Hopefully I gave you some ideas and inspirations!
They are very simple and with a neutral color so hopefully they should match well with any cake. I have used new and some vintage Laura Ashley fabric to make them additional is the blue bunting. Something old something new and the something blue is fulfilled. I also added a little essential booklet to assemble the pair and bunting, hope they will find a fancy cake to sit on very soon. Available by email and soon on Etsy as well.

I ♥ to create

Just want to share what is going on with me lately.I am still looking for a job with no luck:O(((. The only thing that gives me the positivity to go on is my sewing.I ♥ to create anything small and sweet.I have so many things on my mind that I would want to make in the near future.I also thinking of opening my first shop on etsy but only if I feel that my work is precise enough.I would like to sell all kinds of things that I sewn, painted, embroidered, crafted.
I find inspiration in small things of my everyday life:
♥Being outside, especially waking some times just sitting and listening
♥Having a sweet smelling bath
♥Literature and fairy tales
♥Coloured glass
♥Little things, like beads, buttons
♥Smiles
♥World and Classical music
♥Going to my favourite libraries ( I love to read and discover all kinds of great resources for crafts)

I want to thank you all for all the support good wishes.I promise that to share all the news with you very soon until then here are two more photoes of my workstation where I create.
