Dublin D4

These are some of the pictures I have taken in D4. I go out for walks every day each day always on a different route. I love to discover new things statues, shops any kid of new sight. If you have some time try the Fitzwilliam Park area. There are a lot of unusual sculptures to discover from a horse-chestnut leaf shaped bench to robots. I have photographed the girl who is playing by the lamp post and the figure watching her on the top of an entrance. The second set of pictures as at the side of the Grand Canal at grant Canal Houses. They have a statue of a horse just in the back. The third set consist of a picture of a garden from one of the admirable houses in this area the other is a nice selection of marmalade in a basket in one of the coffeehouses in this area. I can only hope that this small post might be enough to draw some attention to this area and I see you around as well soon.

House Number 29 - Georgian House Museum on Fitzwilliam Square

I love the building I work at. it is a nice Georgian house in Ballsbridge D4. It was nicely renovated and some of the old features remained in place which we highly enjoy on a day to day basis.
There are pillars in the front of the house. A small staircase is leading up form the street to the paneled front door in the center. The Sash windows nearer the roof are smaller than the rest. The roof is hidden behind a parapet, built around the edge of the roof. and topped with paired chimneys.

As an extra bonus there is a back garden which is nicely maintained so we can enjoy a cuppa or an alfresco lunch from time to time. If you would like to visit a similar house from this era try House Number 29 - Georgian House Museum on Fitzwilliam Square.

Herbert Park

Dublin park are absolutely gorgeous, but I happen to come by my my absolute favorite not that long ago. For me it is one of the most beautiful, picturesque, relaxing places in Dublin. It is Herbert Park.Lovely arches of trees  a nice pond and open fields of green grass and flower beds set the scene. I also love the beautifully maintained houses surrounding the park. Best to go at lunchtime and have a picnic while enjoying the views.
